Overview

This website sets one small cookie of its own to remember your cookie choice. Everything else is optional and off until you say otherwise: with your permission we use a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel to see whether our advertising leads to enquiries, one first-party cookie to remember which advert you arrived from, and Microsoft Clarity, an analytics service that shows us how visitors use the site (which pages are viewed, where people click and how far they scroll) so we can improve it. You choose on the banner shown on your first visit, and can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

How consent works

Accept loads the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity and allows the cookies marked “with consent” below. Reject loads nothing from Meta or Microsoft and sets no advertising or analytics cookies; the cookies we, Meta and Clarity set on this site are removed (the cookies Microsoft sets on its own domains, listed below, can only be cleared through your browser settings). Your choice is stored for six months. If you accept, completing an enquiry also sends Meta a server-side confirmation of that enquiry, described in our privacy notice. If you reject, nothing about you is sent to Meta — by your browser or by our server.

Cookie register

mc_consent (ours, strictly necessary) — records whether you accepted or rejected advertising and analytics cookies. Lasts 6 months.
mc_attr (ours, with consent) — the advertising click details from the link you arrived on (Meta click ID and campaign labels), the page you landed on, the site that referred you and the time of the click, so an enquiry can be credited to the right advert. Lasts 30 days. Not set if you reject.
_fbp and _fbc (Meta, with consent) — set by the Meta Pixel to recognise your browser and the advert you clicked. Last up to 90 days. Not set if you reject.
_clck (Microsoft Clarity, with consent) — identifies your browser to Clarity so your visits are counted as one person. Lasts 1 year. Not set if you reject.
_clsk (Microsoft Clarity, with consent) — links the pages you view during one visit into a single session. Lasts 1 day. Not set if you reject.
CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, MR and SM (Microsoft, with consent) — set on Microsoft’s own domains (clarity.ms, bing.com) when Clarity loads, to recognise your browser across Microsoft services; Microsoft states it uses them for advertising, site analytics and operational purposes. Last from a few minutes (ANONCHK) to 1 year (CLID, MUID). Not set if you reject. Because they belong to Microsoft’s domains we cannot delete them for you; your browser settings can.

Third-party services

Meta Platforms — the Meta Pixel, loaded only after you accept. See Meta’s privacy policy.

Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps, loaded only after you accept. Anything you type into a form is masked before it leaves your browser, so your contact details and statement never appear in a recording, and the booking calendar (a separate Calendly frame) is not recorded at all. Calendly — the booking calendar on our rate-check page is provided by Calendly and may set its own cookies to run the booking; Calendly shows its own cookie notice inside the calendar. We do not control these cookies.

Uploadcare (statement upload) — the upload component may use local browser storage to manage your upload session. If you upload from Dropbox or Google Drive, that provider may set cookies when signing you in.

Netlify (hosting) — may set essential cookies relating to hosting, security and form spam-prevention.

Managing cookies

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to change your choice. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking all cookies may stop the statement upload or the booking calendar from working.
